Bartz Brigade, the Trent Bartz Foundation
The Bartz Brigade is a community-based nonprofit organization that supports the education, prevention, and awareness of suicide with a focus on school-aged children, young adults, those serving in our Military, and our Veterans living in York County, PA.
At Bartz Brigade, they hold community events that:
- Raise funds that are allocated throughout York County.
- Support the education, prevention, and awareness of suicide.
- Focusing on the needs of adolescents, young adults, and those serving in our Military.
Bartz Brigade, the Trent Bartz Foundation, is our 1st-quarter Casual for a Cause charity for 2026.
Casual for a Cause Program
Each year we ask our staff to nominate their favorite local charities and non-profits for our Casual for a Cause program, and we get over a dozen nominations for many amazing organizations. We take those nominations and ask the staff to vote on their top four choices. The four with the most votes become that year’s Casual for Cause charities.
Employees make donations throughout the month – in exchange for dressing casually in the workplace. Each quarter we total the donations from the past three months, Heritage Valley matches the total amount, and we present the check to the deserving organization.
